a Houston meal-prep brand
A faster store and a second delivery day. Then a back office for the kitchen.
I run their Google Ads. I rebuilt their online store and, after launch, tuned it for phones. I built the order messages that made a second weekly delivery day possible. Then I built a back office for the kitchen and handed it over in September 2026.
Google Ads
The data showed the broad campaigns weren't selling.
They brought clicks, not orders. So I cut them and moved the budget.
I still run their ads. Every change gets the same test: did it sell?
The storefront
I rebuilt their online store. After launch, I tuned it for phones.
On mobile, main content shows in 3.3s, down from 14.2 (lab test, June 2026).
Order messages
I built the messages that go out with each order: the confirmation, and the updates on delivery day. Each one follows the delivery day of its own order.
That let them add a second delivery day each week.
What it's built to do
It follows each meal from the order to the margin.
- Cook plans
- Turns the orders into a plan for how much of each meal to cook.
- Kitchen sheets
- Prints the prep sheets for each cook plan.
- Stock
- Keeps a ledger of what came in, what was used and what is on the shelf.
- Purchasing
- Works out what to buy from the cook plan and the stock on hand.
- Supplier invoices
- Claude reads each supplier invoice. A person checks it and approves it before any price changes.
- Costing and margins
- Shows what each meal costs to make, and the margin on it.
What we checked
Before I handed it over, I checked it against the kitchen's own records and real invoices.
- 55 / 55
- kitchen-sheet checks matched the owner's own records (July 2026)
- 98.8 / 100
- on a reading test of 12 real supplier invoices (September 2026)
- 16 → 5
- screens, after we simplified the back office (August 2026)
- 2,430
- automated tests (September 2026)
Where it stands
The back office is handed over, and the team is early in using it day to day.
We still work together: I run their Google Ads and I'm building what's next.
